cre8architecture were appointed as interior designer’s for the refurbishment works of this longstanding bar/restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh in October 2007. The brief is to refurbish the interiors of the ground and basement areas to provide classically contemporary spaces which retain some of the existing character and features of the building.

A major issue to the client has the been the requirement for the bar and restaurant to remain open during as much of the refurbishment works as possible which has lead to a 3 phase programme which suits all of their needs and adds value to the business.

The first phase was completed in November with all phases handed over prior to June 2008
